We are pleased to announce that the enrollment process for VIRTUE–s MOOC “PROMOTING OCEAN LITERACY AND PROJECT–BASED LEARNING BY MONITORING BIODIVERSITY” is now open!

You can enrol here (https://submon.cloudfarm.it/enroll/J6A8KP)

The Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) we are offering is part of the intellectual outputs of the project VIRTUE–s, cofounded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

The main objective of VIRTUE–s project is to develop digital and practical tools to increase the quality of teaching natural sciences using ocean–based examples. This project aims to teach youngsters, through educating and inspiring their teachers, about the ocean and make them more ocean literate.

VIRTUE–s methodology is unique, and it is a great way to learn about and measure biodiversity of aquatic environment through the accumulation of organisms (biofouling) on CD–shaped discs.

We are writing to encourage you to enroll in the VIRTUE–s MOOC that starts on Monday 20th April and will run until Friday 15th May.

The free online course for teachers and educators will be taught in English and it is divided into four learning modules. For each learning module, there will be a webinar presented by experts in biodiversity, education and ocean literacy.

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn about VIRTUE–s project and familiarize with a new tool to bring ocean literacy to your classroom!

For more information about the contents and webinar dates, please visit VIRTUE-s webpage or contact mooc.virtue-s@submon.org.
