McLaughlin Harvey & UWT

Engineering a better future for local wildlife

Mallusk based company, McLaughlin and Harvey, one of Ireland's leading building and civil engineering contractors, is playing its part in building a better future for local wildlife, by becoming a corporate member of the Ulster Wildlife Trust.

Richard Robinson, Quality and Environmental Manager with McLaughlin and Harvey said, "We are keen to promote the role of business in maintaining and enhancing biodiversity throughout Northern Ireland.  Becoming a member of the Ulster Wildlife Trust will enable us to demonstrate our corporate and social responsibility with a local and worthwhile nature conservation charity.

With the support of McLaughlin and Harvey, the Ulster Wildlife Trust can maintain and grow its network of 22 nature reserves across Northern Ireland, protect threatened species like the barn owl and Irish hare, and inspire thousands of young people to value the natural world.

Charlotte McNaught, Fundraising and Finance Officer with the Ulster Wildlife Trust said, “In today’s economic climate, the Ulster Wildlife Trust relies more than ever on the support of its corporate members. Joining forces with McLaughlin and Harvey means that we can continue to build upon our vital work protecting Northern Ireland’s rich natural heritage."

If your business would like to play its part in protecting Northern Ireland’s wildlife and wild places, contact the Ulster Wildlife Trust on 028 4483 3961 or visit Ulster Wildlife Trust for more information.
