NI Bog Snorkelling Championships

Sun 25th July 2010, Peatlands Park Dungannon

Our lowland raised bogs are home to many important species of birds, thousands of race insects and a wealth of unusal plants - this event will highlight why bogs are so special and the things you can do to help protect them and their wildlife.

We will also be hosting the NI Bog Snorkelling Championships - why not enter this fantastic event or come along and watch competitors attempt to swim 2 lengths of a 60 yard bog drain with the aid of a snorkel, mask and flippers?!

In addition to this, there will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained, with live music, arts and crafts, nature walks and walkabout characters as well as delicious food and drinks.

Cost:
Free

Time:
11am - 5pm
